selected at film festival in L.A.: To be screened at temple!]

"Behind THE COVE" has been selected to screen at the Japan Film Festival ( https://www.jffla.org ) held in Los Angeles!
I am very honored and grateful to have my film screened along with films including "One Cut of the Dead", which is so popular in Japan you can’t get tickets, and "Oh Lucy!" a film directed by a friend of mine that was selected at the Cannes Film Festival.
And I’ve always wanted to screen my film at a Buddhist temple. And now my wish has come true in LA, of all places!!!

Although my film has been screened at film festivals and distributed digitally worldwide, in fact it has had the most screenings in Los Angeles, the home of American films, and where "THE COVE" was produced.
These screening include several film festivals in Los Angeles, UCLA, the American Film Market, the theatrical release, and now at a Japanese film festival (which is rare for me) at a Buddhist temple.

The reason why I’ve always loved America is that the people like to listen to different opinions, be interested in them, and accept then.

Looking back, I can hardly believe that I have been able to be part of so many events in the US. Also, I am made deeply aware of that fact that so many people supported me despite the somewhat unorganized person that I am. I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude!!!

【ロサンゼルスで開催の映画祭で選出：お寺で上映！】

この度「ビハインド・ザ・コーヴ」がロサンゼルスで開催される［Japan Film Festival］に選出されました！

今、予約ができなくて話題の「カメラを止めるな」、
カンヌで選ばれた友人の作品「Oh, ルーシー」などと共に
選んで頂いて大変光栄であり感謝しております。
そして、いつかは上映していみたいと思っていたお寺での上映！
まさかL.A.で叶うとは思っていませんでした！！！

本作は各国の映画祭での上映やネット配信されていますが、
実は上映そのものは「ザ・コーヴ」を生み出した米国の映画の本場
ロサンゼルスが一番多いのです。
複数のLAの映画祭、UCLA、アメリカンフィルムマーケット、
劇場公開、そして、今回は逆に珍しく日系の映画祭での選出されて
お寺での上映になります。

私が昔からアメリカを大好きな理由は、違う意見を聞きたがり
面白がって受け入れてくれるところです。

振り返ると、よくもまあ、こんなに多くのイベントを
アメリカ本土でこなしてきたな、と、感慨深く思いつつ、
私のドタバタに付き合わせてきている多くの方に支えられているな、
と改めて心より深く感謝申し上げますっ！！！
