以前にお伝えしましたが応募をしてなかったインドの映画祭から「Best Education賞」にノミネートされ、上映セレモニーに参加してきました。
欧米からも多数参加されていて鑑賞した方からは、「パワフルなメッセージで良いコンセプトだね」とお声掛けを頂きました。

開催場所はカルカッタ。
マザーテレサさんの活動拠点で知られていますが、戦後処理のために開かれた東京裁判のパル博士の出生地ということも行く直前に知り、カルカッタ最高裁判所も見学してきました。

また、インドと言えば映画産業が盛んなボリウッド。
ムンバイまで足を伸ばし撮影所と世界的な俳優のシャー・ルク・カーンの自宅も見学してきました。

カルカッタへ行く機会を作ってくれた映画祭のオーガナイザーに感謝と出会った素晴らしい仲間の輪が世界に広がり幸せです！

[Film Festival in India and Bollywood]

As mentioned previously, I was nominated for the Best Educational Film award at the Calcutta International Cult Film Festival (which interestingly I didn’t apply for), and I participated in the screening ceremony on December 5th and 6th in Kolkotta.
There were many participants from Europe and the United States who appreciated my film saying that it has a powerful message and a great concept.

The festival was in Kolkotta, which is known as the base for Mother Theresa's activities, but I also learned that it was the birthplace of Judge Radhabinod Pal, one of the judges appointed to the International Military Tribunal for the Far East, the "Tokyo Trials" of Japanese war crimes. So this prompted me to visit the Calcutta High Court.

And while in India, of course one cannot go without mentioning Bollywood, the movie industry in India.
I extended my trip to Mumbai and took a tour of movie studios and the house of actor Shah Rukh Khan.

I want to thank the film festival organizers who gave me this wonderful opportunity to go to Calcutta. And I am happy that my circle of friends from around the world is getting bigger!
