A documentary film, Behind "The Cove" seeks to discover the truth about Japanese whaling which for years has been the object of negative media coverage and considered a "taboo" topic in Japan. The film begins in Taiji, Wakayama Japan, the epicenter of the whaling debate and the stage of the 2010 Academy Award film, The Cove. Director Yagi attempts to present a comprehensive picture of the dolphin and whale hunting issue in Japan, with interviews with people on several sides of the whaling dispute.
