I happened to be in the USA on a historical day when a new president was elected. Although the result was somewhat surprising, it is a decision made by a people of another country, so I can't comment on that.

Instead, I just want to say this.
The screening of “Behind THE COVE” in the USA happens to be during Thanksgiving week. So, since it is a time to give thanks for the blessings of nature, I would like to say the following to anti-whaling activists.

I think what anti-whaling activist groups come and do in Japan is like coming to America and telling all Christians to stop eating turkey on Thanksgiving Day.

【アメリカに居て思う事：Who can judge?】

アメリカの大統領選という歴史的な日にたまたまアメリカにいるが、結果に驚きはあるものの他の国が決めたトップなので・・。

代わりにこれだけ言っておきたい。
今回の「ビハインド・ザ・コーヴ」の上映は丁度サンクスギビングデーの週での公開。
自然への感謝の日にあたり、反捕鯨家に言いたい。

反捕鯨家団体が日本へ来て行っている行為は、クリスチャンの皆に向かって、サンクスギビングデーに七面鳥を食べるのを止めなさい、と言いに来ていることと同じだと思う。
